John Sweet is a seasoned acoustic guitarist with more than 30 years of performance experience. He provides an elegant musical presence where a sophisticated atmosphere is desired.
Known for his professionalism, reliability, and musical intuition, John adapts seamlessly to each event shaping selections and volume in real time to complement the flow of the occasion. While his style is polished and relaxed, select up-tempo selections can elevate the energy when the moment calls for it.
His experience includes weddings, corporate functions, charity galas, private celebrations, and three invitations to perform at The White House. Based in Northern Virginia, he performs throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and is available for travel upon request. On select occasions, he can also feature an exceptional female vocalist for key moments such as a bridal processional or first dance.
